It can be used for both digital and analog photo and video. The rear thread that attaches it to the lens is 46 mm. If you have a different size lens (or filter thread), use the S7 adapter attachment, which must be ordered separately according to your lens. It will make your 50mm lens a 20mm "wide angle" with wonderful wide angle distortion, and your 28mm lens a fisheye (11mm) with circular rendering.
The 180° angle of view lets you get everything in the picture.
In addition, the rear lens can be unscrewed and used separately as a macro lens.
