"Officially it is a graphic developer for both negatives and positives, but in practice its contrast can be nicely regulated by concentration and thus used for non-graphic purposes as well.
For papers I usually use home mixed warmtone ansco 135 but I like to keep GD-L in stock, it's cheap, very durable, can pull black out of older papers and when I develop a negative here and there it looks like a rodinale."
