The cable has a PC hole, one side male, the other female. It is designed to connect the camera and flash over longer distances, e.g. when working in the studio. The termination has a practical 90° angle.

It is also used in manufacturing, industry, or anywhere there is a problem with reading codes from shiny or metallic surfaces. The light from the lighting (or from the scanner) can create reflections that make the code unreadable.

if your camera does not have a PC flash socket, but has a center contact. If your flash only has a PC cable and does not have a center contact.
