The new HG papers are higher contrast with better detail resolution, but you need to upload a new LUT upgrade to the printer and set a new ICC profile in the driver at the same time.
The printer is able to work with the new paper without any upgrade, but you will not be able to take advantage of the higher quality HG paper.
