This model introduces a new locking system called M-lock, a new lock developed by Manfrotto to satisfy anyone looking for a quick and easy to use compact solution. What's more, the M-Lock has no protruding parts and its mechanism fits perfectly against the head, allowing you to effortlessly pull it out and put it back in from the case.
