Paterson 115 Universal Tank

The Paterson Super System 4 (115) universal developing tank can be used for both color and black and white film. Tanks are made of acetate resin. This material is exceptionally resistant to photographic solutions and withstands temperatures up to 100 °C. The tank has two two-piece winding spools. The winding spools can be adjusted to three positions - for cine film (135), "small" roll (126 / 127) and "classic" roll (120).

The assembly is done as follows: you grasp the "locked" spool in both hands and while holding the first part of the spool firmly with your left hand, you rotate the second part of the spool clockwise with your right hand until you hear a click. At that moment the spool is unlocked and the relative position of the two spool parts can be selected according to the width of the film material. The reverse movement will lock the spool again.

Winding the film material: The edges of the film should first be bevelled by trimming. The film is then inserted into the spool. By reciprocally moving the spool (alternating back and forth, zigzag style) and moving the film, you will achieve a full winding of the film.

Note: For optimum results, it is recommended to wind the film in a darkened room.Two spools are included.

The reel can be set for film formats 135 (=kinofilm), 126, 127, 120/220 (=medium format).

You need 375 cc of solution and you develop 1 piece of 135 film at a time.

You need 650 cc of solution and you develop 2 pieces of 135 film at a time.

You need 590 cc of solution and develop 1-2 pieces of 120 film at a time (on one spool at a time).

You need 590 cc of solution and develop 1 piece of film 220 at a time.
