Classic black and white roll film with ISO 250/25° sensitivity.
The CineStill BWxx has remained virtually unchanged since its inception in 1959. It fills the gap created when the legendary Kodak Plus-x and TXP320 films were discontinued.
Expiration 02/2025
A classic black-and-white film that has remained virtually unchanged since it was made in 1959. It fills the gap left by the discontinuation of the legendary Kodak Plus-x and TXP320 films. With it, you can record still scenes as well as scenes with faster movement. It offers a sensitivity of 250 in daylight, 200 under tungsten light.
The manufacturer recommends developing the film in Kodak D-96 or Df96 Monobath developers, but the film is also compatible with D-76, HC110 and all black and white negative developers.
If you are shooting CineStill films, you are working with the same material that Quentin Tarantino worked with for the drama Django Unchained or Ben Affleck worked with for the drama Argo. All the Star Wars and Batman films and the TV shows Castle, The Walking Dead, True Blood and American Horror Story were shot on it.
The Cinestill Film brand was created by the Wright Brothers of Los Angeles. They modified Kodak cinematographic materials so that they could be developed using the standard C-41 process, allowing all the photographers in the world to work with the same material as the world's Hollywood directors.
