Panchromatic black and white film. It features particularly sharp images with a pleasing tonal range and fine grain.

With a sensitivity of 100 ISO, it is ideal for sunny days and scenes where all the details stand out.

Kodak D-76 or Rodinal developers are recommended for obtaining medium-contrast images.

To get higher contrast shots and a more cinematic "look" you can use the Kodak D96 developer.

The film is coated on a triacetate base, so it can also be developed as a black and white slide.

From the history of the ORWO brand

ORWO Filmfabrik Wolfen is a 116-year-old company founded in 1909 in Wolfen as an offshoot of the AGFA film company.

In 1936 it developed the first modern colour film, which contained the "Color Coupler" - the Agfacolor Neu colour binder, which simplified processing compared to the Kodachrome film of 1935.

After World War II, Agfa left for West Germany and ORWO(ORiginal WOlfen) was established as a brand for films and cassette tapes, the production of which continued at the factory.

After the unification of East and West Germany, the factory was privatised and went bankrupt in the late 1990s.

Production has now been revived, under the management of the German company Filmotec.
